About Maarten Vankerkom

After building up +20 years of experience as an employer with international companies, I felt it was time to become independent and offer my services flexible to help out on challenging missions at business, IT projects or program departments.

The name Mavanco Projects was selected by combining my first & last name "Maarten Vankerkom" but more importantly the "co" part … I'm not a standalone/individual person but working together with your colleagues to form a successful collaboration. I strive for a win-win cooperation both in corporate environment and public / governmental sectors.
I ensure coexisting of legacy/current "as is" while filling the gap to desired "to be" state.

Change energizes me … both on tackling new challenges but also to introduce positive change & improvements in your organization. (user adoption)

Program management : If you are faced with multiple overlapping projects and struggling with project interdependencies and in need of a helicopter governance view, I can bring clarity on C-Level and ensure your program benefits are delivered within allocated budget & timing and quality. I prefer long term engagement to ensure customer relationship building and dedication/ownership to ensure delivery of the promised/committed service. By involvement in (pre)sales activities, project delivery and support & maintenance, I monitor end to end lead times and ensure service continuity and act as trusted advisor towards your business.
Experience: Dimension Data / NTT (7Y) : G-Cloud program

Project management: What's in a name, as lead project manager on complex projects the role is similar as program management but with reduced project tolerances, accountability and split in shorter missions. In the local market there are not so many +2M€ yearly recurring revenue programs, so most challenges should be classified as projects.
